Ryoko + Mike | Seattle, WA
Ryoko and Mike are a gentle and soft spoken couple with a deep love for each other. I loved wandering through the UW Botanic Gardens with them at Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. The leaves were changing color and the cool air of autumn mixed nicely with the warm sun. Later, we took some photos in an architect’s house who created movie sets. It was so much fun!
We made many great photos but these ones in particular stand out to me.

These are some of my favorite portraits this year from an engagement session in Washington Park Arboretum at UW. Dreamy and romantic.
I love the way the film captured the chemistry between Adrienne and Mark. The golden light in the sleepy bays and inlets of the waterways convey the timelessness of this place and the soft affection they share for each other.
Washington Park Arboretum Engagement Session | Adrienne + Mark | Sneak Peek
This weekend, I had the privilege of shooting engagement pictures for Adrienne and Mark. This was a particularly great evening because Adrienne and Mark were the winners of our Valentine’s Day Engagement session giveaway. They were only in Seattle a brief time and spent their last evening with me. What an honor! Everything was just right for their engagement session as well. The light was gorgeous at Washington Park Arboretum. The rowboat was intimate and fun. The lilly pads were in bloom. And, best of all, the lake water was the perfect temperature to dip our feet in for some relief after a wam day.
