Amy and Steven Engagement | Seattle, WA
Amy and Steven are dear to my heart. When they explained to me how much food plays a part of their relationship, I could already visualize how great this Seattle cherry blossom engagement session would be. We started at the Le Fournil bakery in Eastlake, where Amy and Steven would hang out during college, and then moved on to the rows of cherry trees at the UW quad. Throughout the entire shoot, food was a source of inspiration. I loved that they brought their own picnic basket with sandwiches and desserts. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. Their love for each other and their fondness of food will make for a very special wedding.

Katie and Brett | Bainbridge Island, WA
I’m so thankful I met Brett and Katie. This is not just because they are a wonderful couple, but also because they introduced me to this hidden gem: Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, WA.Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island has just announced that they will host their first wedding. This is really cool because, until recently, it was a private residence and closed to the public. Thank you Brett and Katie for a great day. I look forward to your wedding!

Mastin Studio Featured on Polka Dot Bride
Thanks to Polka Dot Bride for featuring one of our favorite engagement sessions. I photographed Tiffany and Paul at Snoqualmie Falls last year on a gorgeous day. If you’re not familiar with the location, it’s where the famous Twin Peaks t.v. series was filmed. It’s a fabulously picturesque spot. Check it out.
Mike and Laura Rehearsal Dinner | Hayden Lake, ID
The wedding really starts the night before at the rehearsal dinner. Friends and family convene to share stories about the bride and groom, eat fantasic food, and renew bonds of family and friendship.
Mike and Laura’s rehearsal dinner at The Clark House on Hayden Lake was the perfect example of this. Nestled on the bank of Hayden Lake, the Clark House was originally constructed as a private summer home for the powerful and very wealthy. Princes and presidents came to the Clark House to enjoy Hayden Lake and entertain guests from around the world.

The entire evening was very special. Cocktails were served on the veranda, and guests mingled among the well kept grounds of the mansion. I had a great time meeting Mike and Laura’s family, who were incredibly nice and easygoing. Towards the end of the evening, everyone gathered in the great hall for a slide-show about Mike and Laura’s life together. It was so much fun to be part of the excitement leading up to their wedding day.
