Yes. Scotland really does look like a fairy tale.
Congratulations Catherine and Dave. Your engagement and wedding were gorgeous. I can’t wait to share more!
Featured in Seattle Bride: Kelsey and Arthur
It is an honor to be featured in this year’s Seattle Bride Magazine.
To see Arthur and Kelsey’s beautiful wedding lead the Real Weddings section took my breath away and reconfirmed what I already knew: Arthur and Kelsey’s wedding is truly unique and firmly rooted in the beauty and quirkiness of the Pacific Northwest.
Thank you Seattle Bride!

Handmade luxury for your wedding photos: Cypress Albums
Your Cypress Wedding Album
Your wedding album is the best way to experience your wedding photos after your big day.
A fine, hand-crafted, Cypress wedding album is a graceful way to not only preserve, but interact with and share your wedding photos.
In line with my photography philosophy, I believe every bride and groom deserve the very best album to showcase their photos and become the first heirloom of their new family.
That perfect wedding album is Cypress:

Dan and Laura | Whidbey Island, Washington
Dan and Laura love gardening and the outdoors. It is around these loves that they chose to get married on Whidbey Island. While I was shooting wedding photos at Fireseed Catering (their wedding venue on Whidbey) I saw little touches here and there that exemplify their love. Like the hand stamped spoons with words like ‘Oregano’ and ‘Thyme’ arranged on the reception tables. These spoons guided guests to their appropriate seat. Or the vintage gardening book that guests could sign and leave wishes for the newly wed couple. Small, intimate and joyful, Dan and Laura’s outdoorsy wedding reminded me why I love my job so much.

Why I shoot with film
Film has soul. Film has feeling. Digital has it’s purpose but film satisfies me. That is why I shoot film at every wedding to create timeless photos for each couple.
Brett + Katie | Camano Island, WA

The day was crisp, clear and cold … but beautiful in a way that only the Pacific Northwest can be.
Brett and Katie’s wedding at Cama Beach Cabins in Cama Park on Camano Island embodies their love of the outdoors, nature and wildlife. Hence the wonderful duck cake topper complete with wedding gown for the hen and the stylish top hat for the drake. Both Brett and Katie are loving, gracious, and kind people who wanted a tight-knit and intimate wedding by the sea. Their wedding was a joy to shoot and really made me yearn for a camping trip out to the coast. Maybe this summer!
The Cama Beach cabins were once fishing cabins built in the 1930s. It is only recently that the area has been renovated by the national park service to allow people to stay in these cabins and have events such as weddings there. If you are interested in having your wedding in a newly opened area rich with wildlife and the rugged beauty of the northwest, you should check this place out. It is amazing.
Jocelyn and Austin | Seattle, Washington
I’m proud to show these wedding photos from the Jocelyn and Austin’s elegant wedding at the Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle, WA.
Jocelyn and Austin are best friends, love each other deeply, and their wedding was both fun and classic. I love that we traveled to the Seattle Asian Art Museum to enjoy the small break of good weather for the day and get to walk the grounds and explore the art deco architecture of the museum. So much fun.
Thank you for having me as your photographer, it was a great pleasure.

Ryoko + Mike | Seattle, WA

Ryoko and Mike are a gentle and soft spoken couple with a deep love for each other. I loved wandering through the UW Botanic Gardens with them at Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. The leaves were changing color and the cool air of autumn mixed nicely with the warm sun. Later, we took some photos in an architect’s house who created movie sets. It was so much fun!
We made many great photos but these ones in particular stand out to me.
