Every now and then I shoot a wedding where the mood is so festive and lively that it makes me want to get married all over again. Ashley and Riggs’ New York City wedding at the New York Athletic Club was one of those affairs. It was truly an event where every single person appeared to be having the time of their lives.
Fortunately, the New York Athletic Club has spacious rooms full of window light that made for beautiful photos of Ashley.
The Church of the Blessed Sacrament in New York is full of gorgeous details.
After the wedding ceremony, Ashley, Riggs and I retreated to New York’s Central Park, where we strolled the grounds and made some beautiful wedding photos.
The balcony on the ninth floor of the New York Athletic Club has great views of Central Park and was a favorite place for wedding guests to mingle during cocktail hour.

Ashely and Riggs rehearsed for their wedding day at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in New York on the night before they were married. As you can see, the church is extraordinary. It was gorgeous inside and out. It was a joy to shoot there on both days.

The rehearsal dinner was held at the Bryant Park Grill in New York City in a tent on the restaurant premises. This wasn’t just any tent, however. There were chandeliers, leafy green trees, and windows with spectacular views of midtown Manhattan.

New York Athletic Club Wedding | Ashley + Riggs | Sneak Peek
I just returned from a whirlwind trip to New York City where I had the honor of photographing Ashley and Riggs’ wedding at the New York Athletic Club near Central Park. The wedding was gorgeous and every detail was sophisticated and chic.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of Ashley and Riggs taken during the reception from the balcony of the New York Athletic Club overlooking Central Park. I love how the lights of New York City illuminate the photo.
And, a special treat for all of you . . . I don’t usually take video at weddings, but Ashley and Riggs’ wedding was so fun and energetic that I couldn’t resist. Here’s a little snippet of the reception where the Urban Guerilla Orchestra rocked the house:

I’m so happy to bring you a full set of photos from Denise and Matt’s courthouse wedding at the Seattle Justice Center. It was an intimate, but warm and loving affair. Their chemistry is obvious and infectious.
With the Smith Tower looming in the skyline, we took many photos on the green roof of the Seattle Justice Center.
After the ceremony, we hit the streets for Pioneer Square and Occidental Square for more wedding photos.
I hope you enjoy the photos, Denise and Matt, as much as I enjoyed your urban chic wedding. It was wonderful.

Kent Engagement Photography | Eveline + Chad
Last Saturday I had the chance to shoot a fantastic engagement session with Eveline and Chad at Clark Lake Park in Kent, WA. Being a Seattle wedding photographer, I tend to stay in and around the city of Seattle for most of the wedding season. It was really nice to head out to Clark Lake Park in Kent WA, and get out into nature. Chad and Eveline have a contagious enthusiasm about them and they were up for anything. We hiked all over the park with their dog Molly and found many great spots to shoot. I really love the Fall light, and to top it all off, we had the moon overhead for most of the evening. It was gorgeous.
I look forward to shooting Eveline and Chad’s wedding at Kubota Garden next summer. I’m sure it will be a blast!

I feel like I know Tiffany and Paul well. It’s a pleasure to shoot a couple when you feel this way. I first met them last winter when we did an engagement shoot together. It was freezing cold that day, but they were great sports. They were no different on their wedding day at Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA. They are an enthusiastic couple with loving families. Even a wet early fall day did not dampen their spirits. I was delighted to shoot this wedding. Tara and Patrick | Orcas Island, Washington
I am so happy to share more photographs from Patrick and Tara’s Orcas Island Wedding. They are truly a lovely couple who put an incredible amount of energy into creating a wonderfully carefree, but elegant wedding day. Their friends and family were wordly and fun-loving. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and really supported the union of two of the most creative and compassionate people I’ve met during my time as a wedding photographer. The ceremony at Rosario Resort was thoughtful and scenic. There were many wandering deer who seemed to fit right in with the peaceful nature of the wedding. The reception, which was held at The Inn at Ship Bay, was full of fun moments and candid heartfelt speeches. Being at the Inn at Ship Bay for a wedding was particularly special for me as it was where I was married one year ago. A true treat.
I hope you enjoy these photos. I love how film captures the nearly pink light as Summer bleeds into Fall.

I’m so happy to show you a full set of photos from Christy and Ben’s late summer wedding at Duncan Garden in Spokane, Washington. Most of the following photos were shot on film, which really captures the light and mood of their elegant day so well. Christy and Ben had a wonderful wedding in a stunning location surrounded by family and friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and that was really evident when I reviewed their fun photos. Every detail was so thoughtful from the gorgeous wedding dress and flowers to the golden silverware and spectacular cake. A fabulous event, to be sure.

Seattle Engagement Photography | Denise + Matt at Discovery Park
It’s not everyday that you meet a couple that are willing to meet you early in the morning to have portraits taken. However, that’s precisely what Denise and Matt did. They met me yesterday morning when the Autumn light was just about perfect and the mist was clearing at Discovery Park in Seattle, Washington. They were fun and spontaneous people too. It was a real treat to shoot Denise and Matt. I love the photos and can’t wait for your wedding!
