Andrea and Eric | Tiburon, California
Before coming to Tiburon to shoot Andrea and Eric’s wedding, I had seen a few Old St Hilary’s wedding photos, but I still wasn’t prepared for how truly magnificent the setting would be: big grass fields, rolling hills, and an old and stately white wooden church perched on a hill overlooking San Francisco Bay. As the ceremony started, you could hear the wind outside whistling past the doorway and making the old church creak and moan. It felt as though the building were alive with all the fishermen, farmers, ranchers and town folk that had worshipped at St Hilary’s over the many years since it was built. It was truly a unique experience to shoot in such a place.
From the very beginning of the day I knew it would be an inspiring wedding. Andrea and Eric’s love for each other is infectious. As a couple they have traveled to many places and done many things together, resulting in the most wonderful group of guests and family gathered at their wedding. The day went quickly and I realized that at no point was there a lack of something to shoot: a small personal detail here, an emotional moment there, a meeting of old friends, a look between mother and daughter.
Thank you again for having me as your wedding photographer. It was a pleasure and an honor.
