Rachel and Richard | Sausalito, California
Nothing could stop this wedding. Not even a Government shutdown. It was just too beautiful. Too meant to be. Too full of joy and promise for anything to stand in the way.
Admittedly, shooting a Marin Headlands wedding without access to much of the headlands, was, to put it mildly, challenging. But I love challenges, and with a little scouting ahead of time, we found some untouched oases in the usually busy park to make some beautiful photographs.
Meeting Richard and Rachel and meeting their friends brought me back to when I lived in Boulder, traveled the world, and had a tight-knit set of friends who went out somewhere new in the mountains every week looking for adventure.
Richard and Rachel have lived in many places and love the outdoors. They too, are climbers and hikers, and have a tight-knit group of friends (from all over the world) with whom they share adventures. It was an honor to shoot their wedding and I feel if we had all met in college we would have been friends for many years now.
