Valerie and Paul | Issaquah, Washington
Valerie and Paul’s elopement is a step outside of the ordinary and into something special that includes a beautiful location, two close friends, and a small boom box with the best music mix – ever. Which shouldn’t have surprised me considering that nearly everyone there was a musician and from Portland.
Treehouse Point wedding photos with this close knit group was a relaxing and freeing experience. We had the time and space to explore Treehouse Point and take photos without any pressure. As a photographer it was a real treat. And I have to add that I will never forget the experience of walking through the woods from location to location with Arcade Fire playing through the forest. That boom box!

This wedding was shot using a Contax 645 with Portra 400. I rated my Portra at ISO320 on my light-meter and developed normally. Everything was scanned by Mastin Labs on a Fuji SP3000. Some of these photos were taken with a Canon 5D MK II and 35mm lens and processed with something I am working on to match digital to film.
