Tara and Patrick | Orcas Island, Washington
I am so happy to share more photographs from Patrick and Tara’s Orcas Island Wedding. They are truly a lovely couple who put an incredible amount of energy into creating a wonderfully carefree, but elegant wedding day. Their friends and family were wordly and fun-loving. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and really supported the union of two of the most creative and compassionate people I’ve met during my time as a wedding photographer. The ceremony at Rosario Resort was thoughtful and scenic. There were many wandering deer who seemed to fit right in with the peaceful nature of the wedding. The reception, which was held at The Inn at Ship Bay, was full of fun moments and candid heartfelt speeches. Being at the Inn at Ship Bay for a wedding was particularly special for me as it was where I was married one year ago. A true treat.
I hope you enjoy these photos. I love how film captures the nearly pink light as Summer bleeds into Fall.
Thank you to Tara and Patrick for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was an honor.

Spokane Wedding Photography | Christy + Ben | Film
I’m so happy to show you a full set of photos from Christy and Ben’s late summer wedding at Duncan Garden in Spokane, Washington. Most of the following photos were shot on film, which really captures the light and mood of their elegant day so well. Christy and Ben had a wonderful wedding in a stunning location surrounded by family and friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and that was really evident when I reviewed their fun photos. Every detail was so thoughtful from the gorgeous wedding dress and flowers to the golden silverware and spectacular cake. A fabulous event, to be sure.
Thank you so much for having me as your photographer.

Seattle Engagement Photography | Denise + Matt at Discovery Park
It’s not everyday that you meet a couple that are willing to meet you early in the morning to have portraits taken. However, that’s precisely what Denise and Matt did. They met me yesterday morning when the Autumn light was just about perfect and the mist was clearing at Discovery Park in Seattle, Washington. They were fun and spontaneous people too. It was a real treat to shoot Denise and Matt. I love the photos and can’t wait for your wedding!

Tara and Bret | MT. Rainier, WA
Tara and Bret are a naturally beautiful couple . . . in many senses of the word: 1. they are both park rangers, 2. their wedding was zero-waste, 3. they incorporated elements of Mt. Rainier into their wedding with pine cones, wood rounds, and native flowers.
Tara and Bret were easy to photograph and I think their beauty really comes through in everything they do. I hope you enjoy theses and much as I do.

Hayden Lake Wedding Photography | Ashley + Blake | Part 2 | Film
As promised, here is the second set of photos from the elegant wedding of Ashley and Blake at the Hayden Lake Country Club in Hayden, Idaho. These photos were taken on film, which I think captures the soft light of August so well. I hope you enjoy this set. And, if you missed the first portion of this wedding, you can see it here.

Orcas Island Wedding Photography | Tara + Patrick | Sneak Peek
Patrick and Tara were a joy to photograph. Their chemistry is obvious and infectious. They were free-spirits who were willing to make fun photos even when it required lying in moss in wedding finery. This sneak peek is just a few photos of their beautiful wedding on Orcas Island at Rosario Resort.
Thanks,
Kirk

Priest Lake Wedding Photography | Gretchen + Scott | Part 2 – Film
As promised, here is part 2 of Gretchen and Scott’s lakeside wedding at Priest Lake. The light was perfect. The couple was a delight! I love the way these turned out. All of the following shots were taken on film, which, in my opinion, really lends a special quality to each image.
Enjoy.

Hayden Lake Country Club | Laura + Cameron
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Cameron’s wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding where every detail was planned out and coordinated beautifully. Laura and Cameron were two of the most out-going and sweet people I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. It was so much fun to shoot them because they were always full of life and creative energy. They didn’t even bat an eye when I suggested we sneak away from everyone on a golf cart to take advantage of the gorgeous light.
The darling couple married at Hayden Lake Country Club in front of friends and family who traveled from all over the world to see them. It was a loving event where everybody had the time of their lives dancing, laughing, eating great food, and even playing a little football on the lawn by the lakeside.
