These are some of my favorite portraits this year from an engagement session in Washington Park Arboretum at UW. Dreamy and romantic.
I love the way the film captured the chemistry between Adrienne and Mark. The golden light in the sleepy bays and inlets of the waterways convey the timelessness of this place and the soft affection they share for each other.
Hayden Lake Wedding Photography | Ashley + Blake | Part 1
When you think about a lakeside wedding, you might not immediately imagine elegance. The wedding of Ashley and Blake, however, combined the simplicity of the lakeside with opulence and elegance. Hayden Lake Country Club was a perfect spot for this wonderful pair to share their special day with family and friends. Every detail was perfectly planned and beautifully placed. Solstice Park in West Seattle Portrait Session | Laura + Dan | Sneak Peek
We thought we would share a sneak peek at our portrait session with Laura and Dan. These photos were taken last week on a brutally hot day in West Seattle at Solstice Park. It was a great location with lots of color and a little bit of welcome shade. Laura and Dan were wonderful subjects. We had a lot of fun with them and will share more photos, including film photos, from this session very soon. Stay tuned!
Mt. Rainier Wedding | Tara + Bret | Part 1
Last week, I photographed a very special wedding. It was special because Mount Rainier holds a dear spot in the hearts of Tara and Bret. They’re both park rangers who met on the mountain. Their wedding was full of love and thoughtful environmentally conscious details. It was a perfect day for photographs too. Although the sun didn’t exactly shine, the misty skies were breathtaking. It was the perfect day, full of wonderful moments at this intimate mountain wedding. Thanks so much for including me.

Washington Park Arboretum Engagement Session | Adrienne + Mark | Sneak Peek
This weekend, I had the privilege of shooting engagement pictures for Adrienne and Mark. This was a particularly great evening because Adrienne and Mark were the winners of our Valentine’s Day Engagement session giveaway. They were only in Seattle a brief time and spent their last evening with me. What an honor! Everything was just right for their engagement session as well. The light was gorgeous at Washington Park Arboretum. The rowboat was intimate and fun. The lilly pads were in bloom. And, best of all, the lake water was the perfect temperature to dip our feet in for some relief after a wam day.

Lincoln Park Engagement Session | Chelsea + Russell | Part 1
As promised, here are some of my favorite pictures from Chelsea and Russell’s engagement session at Lincoln Park in West Seattle last week. It was a great night with gorgeous light. Priest Lake Wedding Photography | Gretchen + Scott | Part 1
Last weekend, I had the privilege of photographing Gretchen and Scott’s lakeside wedding in Priest Lake, Idaho. From the moment I met this couple, I was taken by their warmth and fun personalities. I was even more impressed by the amazing group of family and friends who obviously adored and supported them. It was an incredible wedding full of sweet moments and lots of love. Thank you both.

I’ve just returned from an incredible wedding at a private house on Priest Lake in Northern Idaho. The weather was fantastic and the couple I photographed were super fun and creative.

Mexican Honeymoon | Kirk + Robin
I spend a lot of time taking pictures of other people. It’s very cool to be a part of so many people’s lives and to witness so many special moments. It’s an honor, really.
I have to remind myself, however, to take pictures during all the great moments in my life. Sometimes, I forget. During my honeymoon, I made a real effort to take lots of photos. I wanted to document the peace. I wanted to recall the beauty whenever I wanted to transport myself back to that place.
I’d like to share a few with you. Here are some of my favorites.
