Before I take a picture, I compose it in my mind.
A fine art photo is a combination of the environment, the subject, and the raw emotion of the moment. A great photo doesn't happen by itself. There is care, attention to detail, and a tremendous amount of thought. I want my clients to not only be happy with their photos today, but also in 10 or 20 years. This is my definition of a classic fine art wedding photograph.
A great photo is subtle, beautiful. It's an invitation to study the image over and over again each time seeing something new. I incorporate film into each and every wedding because a portrait taken with film stands the test of time.
I've been published in magazines and blogs all over the world, but the biggest honor is when a client is thrilled with his or her photos. That is why I do what I do.

wendy fu - hellos! i saw your site mentioned on joanna godard’s site, “a cup of joe,” and she mentioned that your having a contest for a free portrait session. i love the little elements of whimsy (red umbrella, yellow rainboots) and the use of perspective (tiny couple, tall trees!). if there’s still time to submit a name to the contest, i’d like to add my younger sister’s name (linsey). she’s getting married, and your photos would bring her such joy…thanks!
